Actually, the Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) has prepared a lab named Synergistic Ocean Observation Prediction Service (SynOPS). Union Geology Minister Kiran Rijiju inaugurated this lab in Hyderabad. This is the first such lab, which will give alert one hour in advance of possible earthquake and tsunami in the oceans.

He wrote, "During my visit I am happy to inaugurate the 'Synergistic Ocean Observation Prediction Services (SynOPS) of the Indian National Center for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) in Hyderabad. It is a very useful service for our citizens.

Know how it will work

Let us tell you that this lab located in Hyderabad will keep an eye on the movements happening under the sea. It is being told that SynOPS is the most advanced system to predict this kind of information. The lab is completely based on advanced sensors, which will detect movements occurring several kilometers deep in the sea and ocean.

Whatever information will be obtained from SynOPS, it will be further sent to the Disaster Management Department. On this basis, NDRF and SDRF teams will also be asked to remain alert for relief and rescue operations in time, which will reduce the loss of life and property.

According to the information, information about cyclonic storm will be received from SynOPS Lab three to four days in advance. Through this, information about all the oceans including the Indian and Pacific Oceans can be collected and analyzed, which will also be able to provide information about the movement of fishes.
