Major Prosecution: Complaint against 2 IPS, 3 DySP, and PSI along with Shailesh Bhandari in Electrotherm scam

Kutch Police has registered one more police complaint against the Bhandari brothers of Electrotherm Limited, including the abduction of an employee, death threats, after a bank loan scam of Rs 632 crore through bogus billing with government banks. Bhandari, police officers including two IPS and 18 persons have been implicated in the complaint in the New Year-old case, which followed a five-year legal battle by the victim and a month after the Supreme Court's order.

Parmanand Shirwani of Anjar, the victim in this case, alleged that Shailesh Bhandari, the managing director of Electrotherm, his nephew Mukesh Bhandari had set up a company by taking the complainant into confidence. But, just like Electrotherm's bogus billing loan scam, it was likely to be hijacked by taking a loan of Rs 400 crore from a new company. The abduction incident took place when the prosecutor Parmanand resigned to save himself.

A case has been registered against the MD and staff of Electrotherm Company in an 8-year-old incident of kidnapping his own employee at gunpoint, holding him hostage, threatening to kill him, taking away money, jewellery, vehicles, forcibly signing blank papers and writing the property. Apart from that, since the responsible police officers did not register the crime at that time, according to the order of the High Court, a crime has also been registered against two former SPs of East Kutch, three former DySPs and one PSI.

The complainant and his wife were made directors in it and rent agreement etc. was prepared in the name of the complainant. Meanwhile, the accused Rs. After taking a loan of 400 crores, the complainant resigned from the job after smelling that the money would be digested and kill the family. So the accused called the complainant at Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, on 1-12-2015, when the complainant was going to Ahmedabad, on the behest of the accused Bhandari, the security personnel of the company kidnapped the complainant in a car at gunpoint and took him to Bhandari's bungalow, office and farm house at Ahmedabad and kept him locked up for five days. During which the complainant Parmanand was continuously assaulted and the complainant's wife Khushiben was forced to sign on blank paper and stamp paper and the property was forcibly written and 20 lakhs in cash and 10 lakhs worth of gold ornaments were seized from the house. Also, the accused took possession of Parmanand's Ciaz car and three dumpers of Mukesh Kripalani, the witness of the incident, and made them sign the TTO form. Apart from this, 45 lakhs was transferred from Khushiben's bank and another Rs. 10 lakh cash was withdrawn. After escaping from the abduction case, the complainant Parmanand and his wife rushed to the Adipur police station to file a complaint, but the Adipur police did not file an FIR. In this matter, Parmanand made applications from the state police chief to the High Court. Parmanand alleged that at the behest of accused Bhandari, instead of filing a complaint, the police had instead framed the complainant in a false complaint.

On 10-10-2019, the High Court ordered to file a case against all the people under the petition made by the prosecutor Parmanand in the Gujarat High Court in this matter. But, Bhandari approached the Supreme Court and obtained an injunction against the High Court's order. In spite of the High Court's order in this entire incident and despite the evidence of kidnapping and robbery, two SPs and three DySPs of the time did not file a complaint by giving a closure report stating that no crime was committed. Meanwhile, the accused went to the Supreme Court and obtained an injunction on the complaint. But the date On 16-1-2024, after the injunction of the Supreme Court was withdrawn, a complaint was registered against 19 people including the MD, employees and 6 police officers of the ET company at the Border Zone CID Crime Police Station.

The abducted complainant was able to escape from Ahmedabad with the help of security

The complainant said in the complaint that after taking him to different places in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, he was beaten up. In the meantime, his health deteriorated and he was brought to a private doctor for treatment. Meanwhile, On 5-12-15 accused Baldev Rawal and Sanjay Joshi brought the box and instructed the security guard to kill the complainant and put it in the box along with his mobile phone and throw it in the company's kiln but the security guard refused to do so. Meanwhile, a guard gave back his mobile phone to the complainant and told him to escape after showing the way back, the complainant escaped and got treatment at Sola Civil.
